There are more than 200 LightRecycle drop-off sites for household quantities of burnt-out lights and tubes, and more than 800 sites for lighting fixtures such as floor, table and ceiling lamps, chandeliers, and outdoor fixtures. LightRecycle has a separate collection systems for large-volume generators such as contractors, businesses, relampers, schools, hospitals, and building managers. Recyclable materials, such as metal, plastic, and glass, are recycled into new products. Harmful materials such as mercury are recycled at approved facilities.
